Duct Sealing Services From Bradley Mechanical

home performance services duct sealing

Hire a technician from Bradley Mechanical to have your ducts professionally sealed. Our specialists are trusted by Richmond’s homeowners to get the job done right. This service can make a big difference in the cost and effectiveness of your HVAC system.

The Duct System

The duct system is a series of tubes that connects and distributes your heating and cooling to various rooms. This means that issues in the system affect the entire home and more importantly, the air quality of the home, which can impact the health of occupants with indoor air pollution. That’s why it’s important to always have ductwork done by a professional. Learn how effective duct sealing can save money, improve comfort, and protect health.

Telltale signs of problem ducts

  • Uninsulated ducts in unconditioned spaces
  • Disconnected, torn, or damaged ducts
  • Blind-alley ducts
  • Inadequate return-side ductwork
  • Other evidence of supply and return-side leakage

Bradley Mechanical’s Duct Sealing Service

At Bradley Mechanical our technicians use patented Aeroseal technology. We use this sealant to create an air-tight barrier along the ductwork. With Aeroseal, rooms that are usually difficult to heat or cool will have even temperatures and will be more comfortable. Humidity levels will also be easier to control.

Aerosealing

Aeroseal is a proprietary product that can dramatically reduce duct leakage. It has been endorsed by the EPA, DOE and most recently BPI (Building Performance Institute). It works extremely well and can reach ductwork that runs between floors and inaccessible spaces. It is an airborne sealant that gets injected into the duct work closing holes 5/8” and smaller. It can reduce leakage down to around 5%. If there are extenuating circumstances (asthma, allergies, excessive dust) driving poor indoor air quality, comfort issues, and energy use then it becomes, even more, cost-effective. It is based upon each system and can take almost a full day to complete.
