Electric Heat

Electric Heat

There are many ways your home can utilize electricity for heat on a daily basis. Electricity can be converted into heat through a water heater to provide hot water for showers or washing dishes and clothes. It can be turned into heat by an electric stove to cook meals. Electricity can even be a source of heat for the entire home through the use of an electric furnace, electric baseboard heaters, electric convection heaters and even electric radian floors. It can be a truly efficient way of heating because electric resistance heating converts almost 100% of its energy into heat.

Electric Water Heaters

There are many benefits to choosing an electric water heater for hot water needs. Electric water heaters are less expensive to purchase and are easier to install than gas water heaters. They are also generally safer since they do not rely on a combustible fuel. Electric water heaters also operate more efficiently than gas water heaters because they do not lose heat through venting.

Electric Stoves

Like most other electric appliances, electric stoves heat more efficiently than gas. This also means the kitchen will stay cooler when the stove is being used. Electric stoves offer more consistency in temperature and a smooth, flat countertop for pots and pans which is beneficial in cooking. In comparison to gas stoves, electric stoves come with a considerably smaller price tag and require no installation of a costly gas line. Simply plug it into the proper electrical outlet and you’re ready.

Electric Heat

Electric heat is safe and reliable because it uses no burning materials and does not produce noxious fumes. Most electrical heating systems have no moving parts greatly reducing the chances of breaking down. Electric heat is also environmentally friendly because it releases no carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and converts almost 100% of electric energy into heat.
